Hello! I’m Tanner Mertlich, also known as "Big T," and fitness has been a lifelong passion of mine.
I was born and raised right here, in beautiful Utah!
Over the years, I’ve seen countless people approach their health and wellness with dread and frustration, viewing exercise as a punishment or an endless battle with diets. I’m here to change that mindset and show you that health is not about restrictions, it’s about celebrating what your body is capable of and finding joy in the journey.
I’ve spent over 15 years in the fitness industry, and one thing has become crystal clear: fitness is not about quick fixes or forever dieting. It’s about learning to move in a way that makes you feel strong, confident, and empowered. Exercise should be a celebration of what your body can do, not a form of punishment.

If I'm not at the gym, you can likely find me, or you can at least try to find me, in the great outdoors, disconnecting from our hectic world! I enjoy fly fishing, camping, jeeping and nature! If it's a remote area in the middle of nowhere, I might just be there.

I'm originally from Alberta, Canada! But, now find myself calling Utah home!

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that there’s no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to training and nutrition. That’s why I moved away from the big box gym scene—those places often treat everyone the same, which doesn’t lead to lasting results. I understand that each person has their own unique needs, goals, and challenges, and I believe in creating customized programs that fit your life, not the other way around.
